What is the Show?
‘Hollywood Movie Night’ is an immersive, high-energy fundraiser. Participants rehearse and record abridged 12-minute versions of famous films over four weeks, guided by professional directors and a film crew. On the main night, all films are premiered on a giant LED screen in a Hollywood-style awards ceremony.
Auditions are relaxed and fun. Everyone receives a short monologue to perform. All participants are cast and included in rehearsals across four weeks, meeting once a week in two rooms with 45-60 minute slots.
Each film group appoints a Team Leader to coordinate communications, costumes, and props. They manage
WhatsApp groups and may win the ‘Best Producer’ award!

Mamma Mia, Mrs Doubtfire, Shawshank Redemption, Misery and more.
Teams help source locations, props, and costumes. Directors assist throughout and provide a detailed list at the first rehearsal. Creativity is key to impressing at the awards!
